Last month it was announced that Marvel’s Star Wars comic series would be discontinuing its post-The Empire Strikes Back Storytelling and enter a new post-Return of the Jedi Era that begins in October. Three limited series tell the story of the Battle of Jakku, the final battle of the Galactic Civil War, with Battle for Jakku: The uprising grows in October with Battle for Jakku: Republic under siege in November from Alex Segura, Leonard Kirk, Stefano Raffaele, And Jethro Morales. First introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens while Rey was digging through the rubble, Republic under siege includes the birth of Luke Skywalker’s new Jedi Order, the role of Doctor Aphra, and more.
