There’s the option to play a round of golf for four at Coronado Golf Course, considered one of the best public golf courses in the country, followed by lunch for your team of four at Miguel’s Cocina (extra white sauce included). Or dinner at the newly opened Blanco, before one of the Lamb’s Players’ amazing performances. Additionally, there are gift baskets, rare jewelry finds, Padres tickets, pickleball lessons including new clubs, a limited edition giclee print by a favorite local artist, and restaurant gift certificates to venues across the city. With more than two dozen items available online, there’s something for every taste and pleasure!
Each year, the Rotary Club of Coronado hosts an exclusive End Polio Now wine tasting, which has already sold out, as well as its signature online auction to raise funds to finally eradicate polio from the earth. Several members of the local Rotary club have experienced polio themselves or grew up in households where another close family member survived this debilitating disease. Rotary International has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years and, with its alliance of partners, has reduced polio cases by 99.9%.
But the disease still exists. Currently, the endemic poliovirus type 1 is still raging in two countries: Pakistan and Afghanistan. Given the war and devastation currently taking place in Gaza, health experts fear that an outbreak is imminent in this region of the world.
By browsing and shopping through the Coronado Rotary online auction portal, you not only promise to receive unique and extraordinary experiences or items, but you will also help eradicate this deadly disease that millions of children around the world have not been vaccinated against.
