Read the bizarre note a brazen burglar left for homeowners in a condominium after breaking in, making spaghetti and then washing the dishes

This is the bizarre note a burglar left behind after breaking into a homeowner’s property, cooking spaghetti and washing the dishes.

Last week, an as yet unknown man caused havoc in the gated community of Clearwood in Thurston County, Washington, USA, breaking into cars and properties belonging to private individuals.

Several homeowners in the area have reported their strange experiences with the man.

Local resident Eddie Andujo told K5 he thought he was being pranked when he saw the note on his kitchen table on Friday. The note read: “I desperately needed food. I broke into your house. Please forgive me. I ate your food, washed my clothes and took a shower.”

Andujo said the note was accompanied by another note that read: “PS: Your popcorn machine wasn’t working properly.”

The note read: “I was in dire need of food. I broke into your house. Please forgive me. I ate your food, washed my clothes and took a shower. PS: Your popcorn machine wasn’t working properly.”

The homeowner added: “He made spaghetti. But the funny thing is he washed his dishes. So I guess he was a nice crook, I don’t know… and he folded the blankets that he used.”

But others in the area are not happy about the series of incidents.

Local resident Bethany Stirber said: “He actually broke into my car and stole my garage key and my gate key.”

“He tried to get into my garage when I was home and we chased him away, but then he keeps coming back. And every time we call the police, it’s too – it’s too much time.”

Homeowners fear that the lack of cell phone reception in the area will make the problem worse.

Stirber said, “I caught him again on Sunday. I called 911. I could hear them, but they couldn’t hear me. And they didn’t get here in time. He got away.”

A spokesperson for the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office told local media that while they are considering placing a focus on policing the Clearwood community, they are currently very short on staff.
