The New York Post reports that a 62-year-old Long Island man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at an employee at Tony’s Tacos in Franklin Square. Police say the incident occurred late Friday night.
The restaurant’s co-owner told The Post that the 21-year-old employee was unable to understand what the man was trying to order on the phone due to a very poor connection.
The co-owner continued: “He (the suspect) came in, found the girl who had taken the phone order, grabbed her hand and showed her that he had a gun on his hip.”
Nassau County police said the suspect fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with second-degree menacing.
