Museums offer new online system for planning field trips by Stella Pierce

The San Bernardino County Museum is committed to serving all students in our region and encouraging critical thinkers and lifelong learning. To make visiting easier than ever, the museum is introducing tours through an online booking system for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year.

The introduction of this new system allows schools and educational institutions to make reservations up to nine months in advance. Three museums are available for tours: the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands, the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley and the María Merced Williams and John Rains House in Rancho Cucamonga. To make your reservation, please visit the museum’s online reservation system.

All other Infinity groups and nonprofit organizations such as homeschooling, disability groups, and summer camp groups wishing to book a group visit must call the Admissions Office at (909) 798-8608.

The San Bernardino County Museum is located at 2024 Orange Tree Lane, off the California Street exit of Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 (adults), $8 (military or seniors), $7 (students) and $5 (children ages 6 to 12). Children under five and museum members are admitted free. Parking is free and the museum is accessible to those with disabilities.

The San Bernardino County Museum’s regional, cultural and natural history exhibits, as well as the Museum’s other exciting events and programs, reflect the Board of Supervisors’ efforts to realize the Countywide Vision by promoting arts, culture and education in the County, thereby improving the quality of life for residents and visitors.
