The Monterey Beach Hotel has just undergone a major renovation and rebranding and has reopened under its original name (it originally opened in 1967). It is the only beach hotel in the areawith 600 feet of shoreline offering panoramic ocean views. Conveniently located off Highway 1, guests can easily access local attractions in Downtown Monterey, Big Sur and Santa Cruz.

Hotel amenities include a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, on-site supermarket and free e-bikesScandinavian-inspired saunas and ice baths will be introduced this fall.

The hotel’s aesthetic is inspired by the Californian lifestyle and includes custom-made furniture, local artwork and natural materials. 188 guest rooms and 4 suites are well appointed with quality linens and DS & DURGA toiletries. Most rooms offer unobstructed sea views.

There are 3 dining establishments on site. The Lantern Roomthe hotel’s signature restaurant, serves Californian-inspired dishes for breakfast and dinner daily. Tidal water is a beachfront cocktail lounge with fire pits and live music – the perfect place to watch the sunset. The Lobby Lounge is the place to be for morning coffee or evening cocktails. They also serve a menu based on locally sourced ingredients.
