Macpherson Kelley brings two new directors on board from Sparke Helmore

Following the hiring of a new commercial managing director last week, Macpherson Kelley has welcomed two more managing directors from a BigLaw competitor who will join the firm’s construction, infrastructure and energy practice.

Suzy Cairney and John Kehoe (both pictured) have joined Macpherson Kelley as managing directors of its construction, infrastructure and energy conservation practice and will be based in the firm’s Brisbane and Melbourne offices respectively.

The two came from Sparke Helmore. Both were partners at the large law firm for three and a half years.

Cairney and Kehoe start at the company this month.

The news follows the hiring of director Kim O’Reilly, as reported Last week from Lawyers Weekly and the addition of a special advisor in April and the promotion of six lawyers by the firm, including one to Principal, in JanuaryIt also follows the addition of a special advisor to Maddocks as the new head in Septemberthe appointment of a new Chief People Officer Mid-Augustthe promotion of 13 lawyers to senior positions and the appointment of a special advisor Beginning of Julyand the addition of a principal and special advisor Mid-April last year.
