Law & Order: Special Unit for Victims will return for season 26 during NBC’s 2024-2025 season, the network confirmed.
New episodes of the 26th season of Law and Order: SVU airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. The first episode airs October 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and the next day on Peacock. Check out NBC’s fall 2024 TV schedule!
“(25 seasons) have given us a unique opportunity to do something never before done,” Mariska told Hemisphere Magazine. “It’s the longest-running series in history, and it’s no coincidence that Benson’s evolution mirrors the evolution of women in society at large. In that respect, she’s kind of the greatest feminist figure of all time… She rose through the ranks, became a leader and now a captain – all while being a mother. Let’s see how far we can take it, you know?”

We already know from NBC that several stars are expected to return for the next season.
Details about the plot of season 26 are still scarce.
NBC is still tight-lipped about the plot of Season 26, but noted that Benson and her Law & Order: Organized Crime Friend, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), had a relationship that some viewers hope will become more, and they are referred to as “Benslers”.
“I hope we find the space to move forward,” Christopher he said. “I don’t know if we have that, but I’m excited to keep trying. Keep challenging it. Keep trying to figure it out.”
Ice-T believes the show will last until the end.
“We are really looking forward to season 26. I think last season we had a completely different wind in the sails of the fans, everyone was on board and the ratings were great,” he said recently We weekly“I see no reason why SVU can’t make it to 30 (seasons).”
