Life as a touring musician must be exhausting. Being away from home for so long can be a little restless. You’re far from the comfort of your own bed and can’t lounge around like you used to. And that’s without even mentioning the stress of booking hotel rooms when you’re visiting a new city almost every night. It can be quite a stressful experience. However, Jelly Roll has a clever trick to ease the tension.
Recently, Jelly Roll collaborated with Hotels.com to create an advertisement. Their latest campaign, Perfect 10interviews various artists and celebrities about their hotel experiences. Therefore, this series would ideally convince travelers to use the website when booking their reservations. In this installation, the country heavyweight reveals a little game on how to maximize your hotel experiences.
Jelly Roll reveals a trick for late check-in at a hotel
Apparently Jelly Roll prefers to sleep in, just like me, so checking out early is extremely annoying for someone who needs a little extra sleep. However, he does have a little tip for those who check in late and want to check out late too. “I feel like we’re giving away a serious game here,” Jelly Roll says right up front. “If you ever come to the hotel late at night and the person at the late desk is there, that’s the person you need to ask for the late checkout. I’m telling you: They’ll get it done right away. That’s never gone wrong.”
There’s no telling how late it might be at Jelly Roll, but knowing musicians well enough, it can get pretty intense. It’s usually around 2am, so it makes sense that the night shift worker at the hotel might be a little more lenient and allow a later checkout time. It’s worth giving it a try next time you’re up late and staying in a hotel.
