The 66-year-old rapper and actor, whose daughter Chanel hilariously stormed the set of the show, responded to a social media user who commented on a photo he took while filming the upcoming 26th season.
“Did they rewrite SVU back to normal yet? It was starting to get woke,” one fan wrote, to which Ice-T responded, “What the f*** is woke? lol Like I give a shit.”
The short exchange quickly went viral – and currently has 5.6 million views.

Since 2000, the star has played the role of detective Odafin Tutuola in “Law & Order: SVU”.
In an interview with Variety last year, the actress, whose real name is Tracy Lauren Marrow, looked back on her more than two decades of work on the series.
“Being on a show for this long is like going to Harvard, getting my PhD, because I play every day,” he told the outlet.
Ice-T also expressed that his long experience in front of the camera gives him the confidence to work with any actor and A-list celebrity.
“I know whatever they can contribute, I can give back to them… When I worked with F. Murray Abraham, he told me to learn from the actors I work with and that is the best education.”
“That’s where I’m going to get my stuff. I’ve worked with everyone from Jerry Lewis to Bradley Cooper now,” he said. “They all come through the doors of SVU and I learn something from each of them.”
He also spoke to Variety about his role in the series, explaining, “I’m not a cop. I’m anything but a cop.”
“People say our TV shows are police propaganda that put the police in a good light. I understand that argument.”

In an interview with Variety last year, the actress – whose real name is Tracy Lauren Marrow – talked about her work on the series spanning more than two decades.
“The cop I am on our show is an SVU detective… When I got the job on SVU, Dick Wolf said to me, ‘Ice, you don’t like cops, do you?’ I told him that throughout my criminal past, I didn’t hate cops – they were my adversaries.”
“(He asked,) ‘But you admit we need them, right?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ So Wolf told me to play the cop we need. And if I play the cop we need, I’m not going to have any problems with it.”
And when he spoke to People earlier this year in January, the Colors rapper raved even more about his role in the series.
“I think SVU is a special show because it’s the first time I’ve done something where people are taking to the streets and saying thank you.”
“And I’ve found that SVU is both entertainment and therapy for a lot of women, because a lot of the women who watch the show are survivors – men too. So it gives a different feeling than normal entertainment.”
He recalled that his role was originally intended for only a few episodes, but then evolved into a “four-episode appearance that ended up lasting 25 years.”
