It seems that the launch of Samsung’s next budget smartphone is imminent. A new leak shows the Galaxy A06 in all colors, confirming a familiar design. Previous reports have revealed some details about the specifications.
The Galaxy A0x range offers phones with modest specifications for users who don’t want to spend a lot of money but want the backing of a big brand like Samsung. The Galaxy A06 will be no exception and could even share some key components with its predecessor, the Galaxy A05. In July, informant Evan Blass shared some renders of the device. Now, the same source has published leaked marketing material confirming what the Galaxy A06 will look like in all its colors.
This is what the new Samsung Galaxy A06 will look like
According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy A06 will be available in colors like black, sky blue, and gold. The back of the phone shows a refined version of the Galaxy A05’s design, although the lines seem to be more pronounced this time. The edges of the device are now flat, similar to other recent Galaxy devices. Also, the physical button area gets the Key Island design introduced on the Galaxy A55 to give it a distinctive touch.
Since it is a low-end device, the screen is surrounded by noticeable and irregular bezels. Samsung also keeps a teardrop-shaped notch instead of a hole for the front camera. The report does not provide any information on the device’s specifications, but previous leaks have revealed that it will use the Mediatek Helio G85 chip, the same as the Galaxy A05. It is said to come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. It is also said to have a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display and a 5,000mAh battery. It is rumored to support 15W or 25W fast charging.
There is no official launch date for the Galaxy A06 yet. However, Samsung usually launches low-profile products quietly, so we will probably soon see the brand simply activate the product page on its website without much fuss.
