Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump issued a stark warning early Sunday morning: The leadership of President Joe Biden’s administration, especially Vice President Kamala Harris, is leading the United States into World War III.
“Who is negotiating for us in the Middle East? Bombs are falling everywhere!” he wrote on Truth Social early Sunday morning. “Sleepy Joe is sleeping on a beach in California, brutally banned by the Democrats, and Comrade Kamala is doing a campaign bus tour with Tampon Tim, her really bad vice presidential candidate. Let’s not have a third world war, because that’s what awaits us!”
It follows another post from Thursday: “There will be no future under Comrade Kamala Harris because she will lead us into a nuclear third world war!”
Trump’s comments come at a time of escalating violence in the Middle East.
On Sunday, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military said the attacks were a preemptive strike to prevent Hezbollah from firing rockets and missiles at Israel.
The attacks reportedly destroyed thousands of rocket launcher barrels at more than 40 locations, said Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari, calling it an act of “self-defense.”
Hezbollah retaliated by firing hundreds of Katyusha rockets and drones at Israel, part of the “first phase” of a broader attack.
This is not the first time the former president has warned of World War III. Since first mentioning it in 2013, he has used the phrase 32 times in his posts on Twitter and Truth Social.

He has also accused former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Biden of leading the US into a world war. In 2023, he wrote: “I am the only candidate who can make you this promise: I will prevent World War III!!!”
Trump has repeatedly said he could end the war in Ukraine in a day and bring peace to the Middle East if he wins the November election, but he has offered no evidence of how he would do so.
Trump’s fears of a global conflict are also shared by his daughter-in-law Lara Trump. She had previously warned that a Harris presidency would lead to “a recession and a third world war.”
She made these comments in an episode of her podcast, The right viewwhere she linked the Biden administration’s policies to rising global tensions. “We are really on the verge of a lot of terrible things happening in our country and in our world,” she said
