Juliana Stratton represents all of Illinois as the 48th Lieutenant Governor. She is dedicated and highly qualified and wants to show that we can only move forward together.
In this role, she uses empathy and expertise to open doors and create pathways that advance communities across the state. She brings her visionary leadership as chair or liaison to more than a dozen councils, commissions, boards and agencies, including the Illinois Council on Women and Girls, the Governor’s Rural Affairs Council, the Military Economic Development Committee and the Rivers of Illinois Coordinating Council.
Stratton’s many responsibilities include overseeing the Government’s Equity, Equity and Opportunity Initiative, chairing the board of the Restore, Reinvest and Renew program, and leading office initiatives that address the needs of Illinois citizens – from efforts to build a strong and diverse teacher workforce to creating pathways to economically empower women to founding the Ag Connects Us All initiative for agricultural equity and food insecurity.
The Lieutenant Governor is the current chair of the National Lieutenant Governor’s Association, was appointed by the White House to serve on the Route 66 Centennial Commission, and is actively involved in the Chicago Network, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and The Links, Incorporated. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Bryan, and their four daughters.
