Last year we asked our readers what we could do to improve Hudson River Blue. The top answer? Add a podcast.
It’s taken a minute but we’re now ready to start podging. We’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with Bleav to bring you the sweet sounds of John Baney and Mark Radigan discussing all things football.
New episodes will be released weekly, showcasing the beautiful game from a New York City perspective. As you might expect, New York City FC and Major League Soccer are the focus. But we also talk about soccer from around the world, from European giants to up-and-coming clubs in the Tri-State region to lower-level soccer across the continent.
In other words, anything goes as long as there is at least a ball, a goal and the possibility of a goalless draw.
Some notes on the format:
• The HRB podcast will be short, around 20-25 minutes per episode: we want to inform you, not drain your phone battery.
• Episodes are released on Thursdays and take stock of the week’s events and preview the weekend’s action.
• The language will be clean, just like on the website: This is a podcast that you can play on the speakers and listen to with your children/grandmother/spiritual advisor.
In other words, the volume will be good and the atmosphere will be strong. You would expect nothing less from Baney, Radigan and HRB.
